Apple Pay at Online Checkout

To activate Apple Pay at online checkout on your website, you will first need to be enrolled with WineDirect Payments (Apple Pay is currently only available to wineries in the US) and have the latest checkout tools enabled.

Apple Pay allows users to make payments through their account using previously saved payment information. This feature helps make the checkout experience fast and seamless while having additional privacy and security benefits.

Winery Eligibility Requirements: 

• Located in the US
• Uses WineDirect Payments
  • Uses Zeamster as your gateway in WineDirect
  • Checkout V2.0 is enabled

How Do I Enable Apple Pay?

If you meet all eligibility requirements, complete the following steps:

1. Ensure Zeamster is selected as your default payment gateway
   1. You can do so by going to your Admin Panel > Settings > Website Settings > Store Tab > Orders Tab and select ‘Zeamster’ as the gateway and click ‘Apply Changes’ in the bottom right corner.
2. Contact support@winedirect.com and include that you wish to enable Apple Pay on your storefront. 
3. Once enabled, the WineDirect team will contact you and confirm Apple Pay is live at store checkout.

1. What is Apple Pay?
   Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple Inc. that allows users to make payments using compatible Apple devices.
   
   
2. What devices support Apple Pay?
   Apple Pay is supported on iPhone models six and later, iPad models with Touch ID or Face ID, and the Apple Watch.
   
   
3. Is Apple Pay secure?
   Yes, Apple Pay is designed with security and privacy in mind. Your card number is not stored on your device or Apple's servers when you pay. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored.
   
   
4. Where do the transactions get received?
   The transactions received from Apple Pay payments are deposited into your Zeamster payment gateway account. These transactions will appear as regular credit card transactions and deposit amounts.
